For Gabriel Nyamu, every breath his daughter takes is a prayer answered. But for the past 26 weeks, that prayer has been shadowed by pain, fear, and mounting desperation as his 10-year-old daughter, Blessing, battles a condition so rare it affects fewer than 200 people globally—Idiopathic Chylothorax.

Currently hospitalized in India, Blessing’s life hangs in the balance. The illness causes lymphatic fluid to dangerously build up around her lungs, making it nearly impossible for her to breathe unaided.

“This has been the most painful journey of our lives,” Gabriel shares. “We’ve done everything we can. We’ve spent over KSh 18 million, but we’re running out of options and time.”

The family has drained every resource, traveled thousands of miles for care, and clung to hope. Now, they’re making a public plea for help—not for luxury, but for life.

“We’re not asking for much—just a lifeline for our daughter,” says Gabriel. “We believe in miracles, and we believe in the kindness of strangers.”
