Kilifi County – Deputy Governor Flora Mbetsa Chibule delivered a powerful one-two punch in Kilifi’s development push on Tuesday, celebrating vocational training graduates and launching a livestock empowerment initiative aimed at uplifting rural livelihoods.

Speaking at the Gede Vocational Training Centre graduation ceremony in Dabaso Ward, Chibule praised the resilience and drive of the county’s youth.

“Vocational training is a cornerstone of sustainable development,” she said. “To the graduates—go out, build, and innovate. Your time is now.”

Later in the day, Chibule spearheaded the launch of a livestock farming program under the Kenya Marine Fisheries and Socio-Economic Development (KEMFSED) Project. The initiative targets 644 households, including standout self-help groups like Mkaa Moto Team Nguvu, with livestock support meant to boost food security and incomes.

“These animals are not just livestock—they are stepping stones to prosperity,” she told beneficiaries.

Accompanied by senior county officials and area leaders, Chibule reaffirmed the county’s commitment to hands-on training, resource support, and follow-up monitoring to ensure the program’s success.

From classroom to farmyard, Kilifi is investing in people-powered transformation—and Deputy Governor Chibule is at the center of the action.
