Police SACCO Supports 2025 NPS Athletics Championships with Sponsorship Package

The Kenya National Police DT SACCO has reaffirmed its support for the welfare and morale of police officers by sponsoring the upcoming National Police Service (NPS) Track and Field Championships.
During a meeting with Inspector General of Police Douglas Kanja at Vigilance House, SACCO National Chairman David Mategwa presented a sponsorship package comprising Kshs. 200,000 in cash, water worth Kshs. 100,000, and 100 branded t-shirts. He was accompanied by General Manager of Finance & Banking Moses Manyuanda, Marketing Manager Ann Susan Njuguna, and Marketing Officer Bill Martin.
Mategwa emphasized that the SACCO’s support goes beyond financial services, aiming to promote the holistic wellbeing of its members. “As a SACCO founded and run by police officers, we are proud to stand behind initiatives that promote health, unity, and morale,” he said. “Our support for the championships is a continuation of that commitment.”
Inspector General Kanja welcomed the SACCO’s gesture, calling it a timely and meaningful contribution that reflects the spirit of solidarity within the force. “This support is not only generous but symbolic of the unity and talent we aim to cultivate within the ranks through sport,” said IG Kanja.
The 2025 NPS Track and Field Championships are scheduled for June 3–4 at the Ulinzi Sports Complex. The annual event brings together elite athletes from all police formations in a celebration of athletic excellence and team spirit.
With growing anticipation ahead of the event, the Police SACCO’s contribution is expected to significantly boost preparations and ensure a successful championship. The partnership also reinforces the SACCO’s broader role in supporting the welfare, development, and unity of police officers nationwide.
