Masii Ward, Mwala Constituency – Mwala Member of Parliament Eng. Vincent Musyoka Musau, known affectionately as Kawaya, on Tuesday led an inspection of the ongoing Kasolongo Last Mile electricity project in Kithangaini Location.

Joined by local leaders and Kenya Power officials, Kawaya toured the site to assess the pace of work and reaffirm his commitment to delivering transformative development for Mwala residents.

“This is about more than just power lines,” Kawaya told residents during the visit. “We are connecting families to opportunity, improving security, and empowering businesses and schools to thrive.”

The Kasolongo Last Mile project is set to bring electricity to dozens of homes and institutions, a move locals say will spark economic growth and raise living standards. The project forms part of the national Last Mile Connectivity Programme, a government initiative aimed at expanding access to electricity in underserved areas.

Kawaya’s leadership has been instrumental in championing infrastructure, education, and water access projects across the constituency. His hands-on approach has turned once-marginalized areas into thriving communities with access to essential services.

Residents of Masii Ward praised the MP’s dedication, expressing optimism that the project will unlock new opportunities for economic empowerment.

As Kawaya continues to push for inclusive development, Mwala Constituency is fast emerging as a model for rural electrification and grassroots progress.
