Addressing delegates, Dr. Ndung’u highlighted the continent’s vast potential, stressing that education must be at the core of Africa’s socio-economic development. “We must equip our youth with skills and knowledge to drive Africa’s progress,” he said.

A standout moment was Dr. Ndung’u’s exchange with a 100-year-old World War II veteran, who praised his speech and vision for Africa. The veteran, recalling his collaboration with Pan-African icon Dr. Kwame Nkrumah, affirmed that visionary leaders like Dr. Ndung’u are essential for the continent’s future.

“Your words are powerful and unique,” the veteran said.

Quoting Dr. Nkrumah’s timeless advice—“No looking east or west, only look forward”—Dr. Ndung’u urged African leaders to focus on building a prosperous and self-reliant continent through innovation, education, and unity.

Dr. Ndung’u’s message resonated with conference participants, reinforcing the need for robust educational policies, inclusive growth, and collaborative solutions to Africa’s challenges.

The Accelerating Africa Conference served as a platform for thought leaders to exchange ideas and reaffirm their commitment to Africa’s transformation.

Dr. Ndung’u’s call to action highlighted that education is not just a policy matter—it’s the foundation for Africa’s future.
