Roysambu leader Dr. Faith Mwaura on Tuesday organized a special wellness and fun day for mothers and elderly residents in the constituency, offering free medical check-ups, grooming services, and entertainment in a show of compassion and community care.
Held within the heart of Roysambu, the event brought together dozens of senior citizens for a day of health support and joy. Dr. Mwaura underscored the importance of honoring and caring for society’s pillars. “Today is about giving dignity and appreciation to our mothers and elders—those who raised us, taught us, and built this community,” she said.
Participants received medical attention from professional health practitioners, while personal grooming sessions allowed attendees to relax and refresh. Music, dancing, and shared meals created a warm, celebratory atmosphere.
Residents praised the initiative as a rare and meaningful gesture in a fast-paced society where many elderly citizens feel forgotten.
Dr. Mwaura said the event was part of her ongoing commitment to inclusive, people-centered development. “True leadership is about showing up where it matters—with empathy and action,” she noted.
The event reinforced her growing reputation as a compassionate and hands-on community leader.
