Ambassador Kaituko Vows to Champion Kenya Abroad After Diplomatic Boot Camp

Ambassador Geoffrey Kaituko has wrapped up an intensive 10-day diplomatic induction, pledging to represent Kenya with distinction in his new international posting.
The training, held at the Foreign Service Academy from June 3–12, 2025, aimed to sharpen the skills of newly appointed envoys, preparing them to advance Kenya’s global interests.
“It’s been a journey of insight and preparation. I’m ready to serve with purpose and protect Kenya’s image and interests abroad,” Kaituko said at the close of the programme.
The course covered key areas such as foreign policy, economic diplomacy, diaspora engagement, consular services, and global security. Practical modules included cross-cultural communication and protocol training—essentials for any diplomat operating in complex international environments.
Kaituko stressed the importance of using diplomacy to attract investment, strengthen bilateral ties, and support Kenyans abroad. “This training has equipped us to deliver real outcomes for Kenya, not just attend functions,” he added.
The Ministry of Foreign and Diaspora Affairs has prioritized such preparation to ensure envoys are aligned with Kenya’s development and foreign policy goals.
With his induction complete, Ambassador Kaituko now joins the frontline of Kenya’s diplomatic corps—tasked with promoting the country’s values and forging strategic global partnerships.
