Nairobi, June 26, 2025Samchi Group CEO Esther Muchemi has issued a powerful and faith-driven call for moral reflection and repentance, urging Kenyans—especially those in leadership—to confront the spiritual decay she says is at the heart of the country’s current turmoil.

Drawing from Proverbs 6, Muchemi identified seven things God despises—pride, deceit, bloodshed, wicked schemes, eagerness to do evil, false testimony, and sowing division—arguing that these sins have become normalized, particularly among the country’s elite.

“If God were to examine your heart, your thoughts, and your actions today, would He find you clean?” she challenged, directing the piercing question at political, corporate, religious, and community leaders alike.

Muchemi warned that Kenya’s recent unrest is not just political or economic, but spiritual in nature, fueled by unchecked ego, corruption, and moral compromise.

But her message wasn’t just a rebuke—it was a call to redemption. She emphasized that repentance and forgiveness are available to all, and that personal accountability is the foundation for national healing.

“We must speak truth, reject pride, and refuse to divide,” she said. “These are not just godly values—they are national necessities.”

Closing her message with a prayer for the country, Muchemi envisioned a Kenya rooted in truth, humility, and unity. Her words offer a stark mirror and a hopeful roadmap—reminding every Kenyan that lasting change begins in the heart.
