Nairobi, June 26, 2025 — Hon. Jessica Mbalu, the MP for Kibwezi East, has been recognized as one of Kenya’s top-performing legislators, securing the 17th position nationally in the Mizani Africa 2025 rankings with a score of 66.6%.
The ranking affirms her growing influence as a results-driven, people-first leader in the National Assembly. Hon. Mbalu’s development record in water, education, infrastructure, agriculture, health, and empowerment stands out as a blueprint for effective constituency leadership.
In the past year alone, she has overseen the rollout of boreholes and clean water projects, classroom construction, bursary disbursements, and the expansion of vocational training for youth.
