In a significant move toward digital modernization, the Engineers Board of Kenya (EBK) has partnered with the Kenya Education Network (KENET) to enhance its service delivery and streamline regulatory operations.
The strategic engagement, led by EBK Registrar and CEO Eng. Margaret Ogai, focused on harnessing digital tools to improve licensing, track professional development, and strengthen data-driven decision-making.
“This partnership underscores our commitment to transforming how we deliver services. Digital tools are essential to ensuring transparency, speed, and responsiveness,” said Eng. Ogai.
KENET, a leading provider of broadband and ICT services to Kenya’s research and education sectors, will work with EBK to develop secure, scalable platforms aimed at making regulatory processes more efficient and user-friendly.
The collaboration aligns with national digital transformation goals and global best practices, positioning EBK at the forefront of smart regulation in the engineering sector. Eng. Ogai stressed the importance of seamless digital experiences to support innovation, uphold ethics, and protect public safety.
“As the engineering landscape evolves, so must our systems. This journey will open new avenues for professional growth and strengthen compliance,” she noted.
The partnership signals a bold shift toward tech-driven governance and is expected to benefit not just engineers, but also Kenya’s broader construction and infrastructure industries.
