Kenya School of Government (KSG) Director General Prof. Nura Mohamed has issued a rallying call to senior public leaders, urging them to embrace citizen-centered governance and genuine national transformation during the launch of the Leadership Program for National Transformation (LPNT).

Addressing participants at the event, Prof. Nura—respected for his integrity and intellect in public service—said transformation must go beyond rhetoric. “The term national transformation should not be a buzzword,” he said. “It must become a lens through which we evaluate our systems, confront our challenges, and assess the impact of our service to the people.”

The LPNT program aims to instill a culture of high performance and values-based leadership across government institutions. Prof. Nura noted that the goal is not just ticking boxes but building long-term commitment to excellence, innovation, and accountability in public service.

“This program is about dismantling the barriers standing in our way and realigning our vision to truly serve citizens with dignity and efficiency,” he added.

Under Prof. Nura’s stewardship, KSG has become a beacon of leadership development and reform. His latest message is seen as a timely push for a more responsive and responsible public service.

As the program continues, it is expected to empower top government officials with the mindset and tools needed to drive Kenya’s transformation agenda forward—not just in words, but in action.
