“Kenya is more than just a destination—it’s a running experience like no other,” Miano said, highlighting the unique blend of performance, nature, and culture that Kenya offers.

Speaking on Kenya’s natural appeal, Miano praised locations such as Iten, Eldoret, and Kericho—world-renowned high-altitude training grounds for elite athletes. She emphasized that every run through Kenya’s Great Rift Valley, savannahs, and forested highlands is a transformative journey.

“Kenya stands ready to welcome global athletes and wellness travellers looking to push their limits while embracing the beauty of the wild,” she added.

Miano noted that sports tourism goes beyond physical endurance, offering visitors a chance to connect with local communities and immerse themselves in meaningful cultural experiences.

She described sports and adventure tourism as a strategic pillar in diversifying Kenya’s tourism portfolio, boosting local economies, and supporting conservation efforts.

With Kenya’s strong international reputation in athletics and adventure, Miano expressed confidence that this niche will attract fitness enthusiasts and experience seekers from across the world.

“Think sports, think Magical Kenya,” she concluded, as the country ramps up its efforts to showcase itself as a holistic, world-class tourism destination.
