The visit was historic — marking the first time a school delegation from Mandera toured both the National Assembly and the Senate. Students explored the chambers where their Senator and MP serve, gaining first-hand insight into Kenya’s legislative processes.

“This exposure is meant to inspire our young learners to dream big and appreciate the value of leadership and public service,” said Hon. Abdul Haro.

The celebration concluded with a dinner for the students and teachers. The MP praised their discipline, talent, and dedication, calling them role models for other children in Mandera. He expressed hope that some might one day serve in Parliament.

He also highlighted the importance of nurturing talent through platforms like the National Music Festivals, which preserve cultural heritage while building confidence and teamwork.

Hon. Abdul Haro reaffirmed his commitment to supporting education and youth empowerment in Mandera South, pledging continued investment in opportunities, resources, and mentorship for young people.
