“This occasion is a powerful testament to the value of investing in skills development as we seek to enhance efficiency and service delivery in our hospitality sector,” said CS Miano. “We embrace these graduates not just as chefs, but as curators of our culinary future and ambassadors of Kenyan culture and heritage.”

She underscored Kenya’s diverse cuisine as a key pillar of tourism, noting that raising culinary standards would help position the country as a leading gastro-tourism destination for global travelers.

The Cabinet Secretary reaffirmed her ministry’s commitment to expanding opportunities in training, innovation, and job creation, urging graduates to carry professionalism, creativity, and cultural pride into their new careers.

Also present were MPs Hon. Wamuratha (Kiambu), Hon. Fatuma (Migori), Hon. Donya (Kisii), and Hon. Wamacukuru (Kabete), who commended the initiative for empowering youth and fueling economic growth.

Kagiri praised the graduates’ resilience and pledged continued support for youth-focused programs, urging them to innovate within the hospitality space as they showcase Kenya’s culture to the world.
