The project, funded by the Ruiru NG-CDF, has delivered four modern classrooms, an administration block, toilets for pupils and teachers, and a perimeter fence. Kingara said the investment is part of a broader plan to ease congestion in schools and provide children with a conducive learning environment.

“Education remains a top priority. By putting up proper facilities, we are uplifting standards of learning and giving every child a fair opportunity to excel,” Kingara said while inspecting the progress.

Parents and community leaders welcomed the development, noting that the new school will reduce overcrowding in nearby institutions. They praised the modern facilities as timely for a constituency experiencing rapid population growth.

With Ruiru ranked among the most densely populated areas in Kiambu County, demand for schools has surged in recent years. Mutonya Primary is expected to absorb hundreds of learners once fully operational.

Kingara assured residents that more development projects in healthcare, roads, and water supply are in the pipeline, underscoring his hands-on approach to service delivery.

The Mutonya Primary School project, he said, is proof that effective use of public resources can transform communities.
