Kabete MP Hon. Githua Wamacukuru has commissioned a new classroom block at Karura Ka Nyungu Primary and Junior Secondary School in Nyathuna Ward, in a project funded through the Kabete National Government Constituency Development Fund (NG-CDF).
The modern facility will serve both primary and junior secondary learners, easing congestion and providing a more conducive learning environment. Parents and teachers welcomed the development, saying it will significantly improve learning outcomes and motivate both students and educators.
Education remains a top priority for the MP, who has consistently invested in school infrastructure and bursaries for needy learners. Wamacukuru emphasized that a strong educational foundation is central to empowering youth and unlocking opportunities for Kabete’s future generations.
Beyond education, the legislator has spearheaded road upgrades to improve connectivity between schools, markets, and health centers, boosting local commerce and access to essential services. His office has also expanded water projects through boreholes and piped systems, while electricity connections have been extended to underserved areas.
In addition, hundreds of young people have benefited from his support to Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) programs, gaining practical skills in trades such as mechanics, ICT, and construction.
Speaking at the launch, Wamacukuru reaffirmed his commitment to his “Transforming Kabete and Delivering the Promise” agenda, with education, infrastructure, water, and youth empowerment as his core pillars.
The MP’s initiatives have positioned Kabete as a model of community-driven development, with visible progress across multiple sectors.
