Njogu is hosting a high-level delegation from Nebraska led by Secretary of State Robert Evnen. The engagement seeks to strengthen cooperation in agriculture, beef value chains, manufacturing, and education, with a strong focus on opening new opportunities for Kenyan farmers and agribusinesses.

In her address, Njogu stressed Kenya’s ambition to become a competitive global beef exporter while boosting domestic capacity through value addition, technology transfer, and skills development.

The Nairobi conference will convene key stakeholders from national and county governments, private sector leaders, financiers, farmer organizations, research institutions, training centers, and diaspora business networks. Deliberations will explore investments in feed production, livestock farming, beef processing, and manufacturing. Research collaborations in animal nutrition, veterinary science, and cold-chain logistics will also take center stage.

Njogu further emphasized the role of public–private partnerships and innovative financing models in scaling interventions across the sector. She reaffirmed the State Department’s commitment to work with counties, ministries, the private sector, and diplomatic missions to translate the mission’s outcomes into tangible benefits.

The initiative reflects Njogu’s strategic vision of expanding trade partnerships, advancing food security, and driving economic growth by strengthening Kenya’s beef value .
