Otuoma on the floor as Court Suspends Busia ODM Delegates Elections

Political Parties Disputes Tribunal has suspended ODM Party Busia County Delegates elections held on 29th August, 2025.This is after petitioner Moses Ouma filed a case terming the process a nullity.
According to the orders of the court ODM Party has been restrained from using the list forwarded from the impugned Busia County Delegates elections.
‘‘THAT pending the hearing and determination of this instant Application, inter partes, this Honourable Tribunal hereby issues an interim order suspending and/or staying the 1st Respondents Declaration of the Results of the ODM Party Busia County Delegates elections held on 29th August,2025 and, further hereby restraints the Respondents herein or any party or person acting on their behalf from using the list forwarded from the impugned ODM Party Busia County Delegate elections held on 29th August, 2025 in the subsequent Respondents Party elections and/or other functions within the Respondent Party.’’ the order says.
The matter has been listed for mentioning on 24 September 2025.
‘‘The matter has been listed for mentioning on 24 September 2025.THAT the Complaint and Notice of Motion application dated 12th September 2025 to be served upon the Respondents and Interested Parties immediately. That the Respondents and Interested Parties to file and serve their response(s) to the Complaint and Application within 7 days of the date hereof, with corresponding leave to the complainants to file and serve any further reply within 3 days of the date of service. That the matter be listed for mention on 24th September 2025 at 2.30pm,’’ the Order reads.
Busia Governor Paul Otuoma was declared the winner in the County Delegates elections with his opponent Matayos Member of Parliament Geoffrey Odanga protesting the same terming it fraud.
