Leah Sankaire Commands 75% Approval in Kajiado, Survey Shows

Kajiado Woman Representative and Chairperson of the Kenya Women Parliamentary Association (KEWOPA), Hon. Leah Sankaire, has cemented her status as one of the country’s most trusted leaders, according to the latest Mizani Africa survey.
The poll places her re-election support at 75.2 percent, with only 15.8 percent opposed and 9 percent undecided. Additionally, 70.3 percent of residents expressed satisfaction with her leadership, ranking her among Kenya’s top-performing legislators.
Hon. Sankaire’s strong approval is credited to her development track record. She has rolled out bursaries that have kept thousands of students in school, spearheaded women empowerment programs that uplift families, and initiated youth training through TVETs to secure long-term opportunities for the next generation.
Her agenda has also prioritized healthcare, water access, sanitation, and road connectivity, opening up markets and boosting local trade. Beyond Kajiado, she has made a national impact as KEWOPA Chair by advocating policies that promote women’s empowerment and protect vulnerable groups.
Political analysts say her ratings reflect more than popularity, but tangible delivery of services that have transformed communities.
“With such overwhelming numbers, Hon. Sankaire is not just winning votes; she is winning trust,” the survey noted.
As elections approach, the message from Kajiado appears clear: Leah Sankaire is viewed as an indispensable leader and a partner in progress.
