State Department for TVET Signs MoU with KAM to Boost Youth Skills and Jobs

The State Department for Technical, vocational education and training has signed a Memorandum of understanding with the Kenya Association of Manufacturers to boost youth skills and jobs.
The signing activity was presided by Dr.Esther Muoria on 0n 5th September 2025 aand the event was also attended by key officials among them KAM CEO,Mr Tobias Alando among others.
Speaking, the Ps said the partnership is aimed to strengthen youth training and employment opportunities.
She noted that the agreement seek to align technical training with industry needs giving youth practical jobs and skills. adding Kenya Association of Manufacturers will help in recruiting and training youth and giving them experience by giving them exposure of how the industry looks like and how it works .
“This initiative will bridge the skills gap and empower our youth to access decent and sustainable jobs”.she said at the event.
The MOU is expected to boost industry involvement in curriculum development, training and job placement transforming TVET sector into a more driven sector.
