Faith Mwaura has launched a garbage recycling centre in Githurai, a game-changing initiative aimed at empowering youth and women while promoting environmental sustainability.
The project, supported by Tika Kenya and the Mudavadi Foundation, includes the distribution of six briquette-making machines to local groups, enabling them to turn waste into eco-friendly briquettes for income generation.
Hon. Mwaura emphasized that waste can be a source of wealth, urging residents to embrace sustainable business models. “This is about cleaning our environment while creating jobs,” she stated.
The initiative is set to boost economic empowerment and improve waste management in Roysambu, proving that sustainability and prosperity can go hand in hand.
