After announcing his tour of Nairobi County on March 10, 2025, today marks the second day of President Ruto’s weeklong tour, during which he visited Mathare Constituency to inspect and launch the development of infrastructure in educational institutions.
The President kicked off the program by visiting St. Teresa Girls Secondary School, where he inspected the institution that is set to receive an 800-bed capacity dormitory.
While at the same institution, he pledged to donate Ksh5 million, which will be used to furnish the dormitory and facilitate the construction of 10 new classrooms.
“We are expanding and modernizing schools, especially in marginalized and densely populated regions, to accommodate more students and enhance equality across the country,” he said.
With the aim of improving the country’s education sector, the government is on a mission to invest in accessible, relevant, and comprehensive education for all children nationwide, equipping them with the skills and knowledge necessary for the economic transformation of our motherland and, in the long run, preparing them for the global market.
Accompanied by Deputy President Kithure Kindiki, Ruto later headed to another institution, Mabatini Primary School, where he led a groundbreaking ceremony for the construction of 12 classrooms.
