The Micro and Small Enterprise Authority (MSEA) and the Tony Elumelu Foundation (TEF) are exploring a strategic partnership to enhance support for Kenyan entrepreneurs.
During a meeting hosted by MSEA CEO Henry Rithaa, TEF’s Director of Operations, Hakeem Onasanya, outlined their upcoming entrepreneurship program in Kenya, offering training, mentorship, and $5,000 in funding across key sectors such as agribusiness, health, education, ICT, and the green economy.
MSEA highlighted its existing initiatives, including KYEOP startup grants, ILO capacity-building programs, and collaborations with Stanbic and UNDP in digital literacy. Discussions also covered policy solutions, access to grants, and strategic partnerships aimed at improving business environments for entrepreneurs.
The partnership, if finalized, could boost enterprise growth and economic empowerment for Kenya’s small businesses.
