National Land Commission Reaffirms Commitment to Land Rights for Marginalized Groups

The National Land Commission (NLC) has reinforced its dedication to addressing land injustices affecting minority and marginalized communities in Kenya. This commitment was highlighted during a Stakeholders Breakfast Meeting at the Weston Hotel in Nairobi, where key leaders discussed solutions to land-related challenges.
NLC CEO CHRP Kabale Tache Arero stressed the need for inclusive dialogue and collaborative action to resolve historical land injustices, ensure tenure security, and promote equitable land access. “By addressing these persistent issues, we can create a more just and inclusive society,” she stated.
Ms. Chiggai, the Women Rights Advisor in the Office of the President, attended as the chief guest, emphasizing the government’s support for fair land policies and social justice. Discussions focused on strengthening legal frameworks, raising public awareness, and implementing policy reforms to secure land rights for all.
The event reaffirmed the NLC’s mission to champion land justice, transparency, and equity, ensuring that every Kenyan, regardless of background, has a rightful place in the country’s land administration system.
