CS Kabogo Rallies Institutions to Support Skilling Agenda

Information, Communication and Digital Economy Cabinet Secretary William Kabogo has reaffirmed the government’s commitment to strengthening digital literacy across the country by partnering with key industry players, including academic institutions.
Speaking after a meeting with a delegation from Moringa School, led by CEO Nikki Germany, CS Kabogo emphasized the need to align digital skills training with market demands, particularly in the growing number of digital hubs being established nationwide.
“As we enhance our digital connectivity, roll out digital hubs, and expand our skilling programs, partnerships with institutions like Moringa School are critical,” Kabogo said at the Ministry Headquarters in Nairobi.
The discussion also focused on supporting the recently launched National Digital Literacy Skills Curriculum, unveiled by Kabogo at the Connected Africa Summit 2025 in Diani, Kwale.
The curriculum aims to standardize digital training and equip Kenyan youth with competitive skills for the evolving digital economy.
“Moringa School and similar institutions are key to driving this agenda forward. Their experience in tech education and innovation will help bridge the digital divide and prepare our workforce for global opportunities,” Kabogo added.
The Ministry of ICT continues to prioritize youth skilling, with a vision to transform Kenya into a digitally empowered society.
The government is banking on public-private partnerships to expand access to training, foster innovation, and unlock opportunities in the digital space.
