In a major boost for Kenya’s small business sector, renowned entrepreneur advocate Richard Muteti has been appointed to the Advisory Board of the All Africa Association for Small and Medium Enterprises (AAASME)—Africa’s top SME policy body.
The appointment places Muteti at the heart of continental decision-making, where he will help steer strategies to drive innovation, expand market access, and fuel SME growth across Africa.
Muteti, the CEO of the Confederation of Micro and Small Enterprises Organizations – East Africa (CMSEO-EA), is widely recognized for his tireless work empowering artisans, youth, and women entrepreneurs. His leadership has helped unlock financing opportunities, cross-border trade linkages, and pro-business policy reforms across East Africa.
