Dr. Hosea Kili Champions Equity Through Education and Health at Akili Foundation Dinner

Dr. Hosea Kili, Founder and Chairman of the Akili Foundation, delivered a passionate appeal for unity in addressing Kenya’s most pressing challenges during the Foundation’s Fundraising Dinner held under the banner “Empowering Lives Through Learning and Health.”
The event was more than a fundraiser — it was a call to action, anchored by Dr. Kili’s unwavering belief that quality education and healthcare are not privileges but fundamental rights for every Kenyan. He urged attendees, including leaders, partners, and community stakeholders, to contribute not just money, but hope.
Since its founding in 2011, the Akili Foundation has become a beacon of impact in Kenya’s development landscape. Guided by the shared vision of Dr. Kili and his wife, Mama Secilia, the Foundation has improved access to education and healthcare in vulnerable communities — building classrooms, equipping schools, launching health outreach programs, and supporting disadvantaged students to pursue their dreams.
“Our mission is simple but profound,” Dr. Kili said during his keynote. “We seek to remove barriers that prevent children and families from accessing the opportunities they deserve. Tonight, your generosity is an investment in that vision.”
The dinner also highlighted the Foundation’s track record — from sponsoring hundreds of students to initiating youth empowerment and community development programs across the country. Testimonies from beneficiaries and partners underscored the real, measurable difference the Foundation has made.
As guests pledged their support, there was a shared sense that this was more than a dinner — it was a movement. A movement led by a man whose leadership, humility, and vision continue to reshape lives from the ground up.
In Dr. Kili’s words, “When we uplift the least among us, we lift the nation.”
