The Kenya School of Government (KSG) has launched a bold push to reform the public sector through a high-impact Training of Trainers on Governance, Ethics, and Integrity Transformation.

Spearheading the initiative, KSG Director General Prof Nura Mohammed declared that the program is a game-changer in promoting integrity and citizen-focused leadership across all levels of government.

“This is about building a purpose-driven public service anchored on integrity, transparency, and accountability,” she stated during the launch, emphasizing that real reform begins with people and culture — not just policy.

The program brings together senior representatives from KSG, the State Department for Public Service, the Executive Office of the President, the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC), and the Public Service Commission. Participants are expected to spearhead reforms, embed values-based leadership, and establish stronger ethics frameworks within their institutions.

Dr Reuben Chirchir, Director of Governance and Public Service Reforms at the Executive Office of the President, officially opened the training and challenged participants to become “ambassadors of ethical transformation.”

Prof Mohammed affirmed that KSG is positioning itself as a national centre for excellence in governance innovation. “We are nurturing a new generation of ethical leaders who will drive sustainable reforms and restore public trust,” she said.

With Kenya’s public service often under fire for corruption and inefficiency, this initiative marks a crucial step toward restoring integrity and rebuilding confidence in government service.
