Speaking at the Kenyatta International Convention Centre, Passaris said true progress must be anchored in practical interventions that transform lives.

The initiative disbursed KSh 28 million in Women Economic Empowerment (WEE) cheques to help women start or grow businesses, and KSh 11 million in bursaries to keep disadvantaged students in school. Two hundred white canes were issued to visually impaired learners, while the Bomb Blast Association received KSh 250,000.

Support for SGBV survivors included donating 20 mattresses to Vijana Amani Pamoja (VAP) and funding travel for eight survivors to represent Kenya at the Homeless World Cup in Oslo, Norway.

Passaris urged unity in tackling SGBV and femicide, calling on leaders and citizens to safeguard women’s dignity and safety.

Leaders present included Senators Karen Nyamu, Hamida, Beatrice Elachi, Leah Sankaire (KEWOPA chair), Faith Gitau, Tabitha Mutinda, and Elizabeth Kailemia, underscoring the importance of joint leadership in advancing gender equality.

Passaris said the event was not just about funds, but about rallying communities to dismantle barriers and create lasting opportunities for all.
