She hosted Wycliffe Aganda, Chairperson of the Association of Kenyans in Rwanda, and Philomena Mbura, the group’s Youth Representative, to address key concerns affecting Kenyans living and working in the country.

Mr. Aganda outlined issues raised by members, including the need for improved consular services, investment opportunities, and stronger cross-border trade links. He also called for greater collaboration between the diaspora and the Kenyan government to spur development both in Rwanda and back home.

PS Njogu acknowledged the diaspora’s vital role in Kenya’s growth through remittances, skills transfer, and investments. She assured the delegation that her office is implementing measures to address their concerns, improve communication channels, and create more platforms for dialogue.

Emphasizing the importance of the Bottom-Up Economic Transformation Agenda, the PS urged Kenyans in Rwanda to take up investment opportunities in Kenya and to continue championing the country’s image internationally.

The meeting ended with a pledge to maintain open communication and strengthen partnerships, ensuring the diaspora remains an active driver of Kenya’s economic and social development.
