Muratha Donates Tools, Water Tank, and Sanitary Products to Boost Kiambu Communities

Kiambu County Woman Representative Hon. Anne Muratha over the weekend rolled out another phase of her empowerment drive in Gatundu South, Ng’enda Ward, with donations targeting youth, women, and schoolchildren.
Addressing residents at Kimunyu Primary School, Muratha distributed vocational tools including hair dryers, blow dryers, shaving machines, and UV machines to support small businesses and skills training. She also donated sanitary towels to schoolgirls, food items to families, and a 5,000-litre water tank to Kimunyu Primary School to ease water shortages.
Muratha said the initiative aims to tackle poverty, unemployment, and hygiene challenges by equipping communities with both immediate relief and long-term resources. “Supporting our girls with sanitary towels ensures dignity and uninterrupted education, while tools for the youth create opportunities for self-reliance,” she said.
She further praised the school’s Head Teacher, Madam Lucy Kimani, for her commitment to nurturing learners and pledged continued support to education in Kiambu.
Residents welcomed the donations, saying they addressed everyday struggles while empowering them with opportunities to grow.
Muratha reaffirmed her commitment to scaling up similar projects across the county, noting that sustainable empowerment requires both practical interventions and strong community partnerships.
Her program has become a hallmark of her leadership, focusing on education, economic empowerment, and social welfare.
