Busia Governor Paul Otuona has been delt a major blow after the Political Parties Disputes Tribunal suspended the ODM Party Delegates elections held on 29th August, 2025.

The court agreed with petitioner Moses Ouma plea to suspend the results pending the hearing and determination of the case.

Consequently,the party has been restrained from using the list forwarded to it until further notice.

‘‘THAT pending the hearing and determination of this instant Application, inter partes, this Honourable Tribunal hereby issues an interim order suspending and/or staying the 1st Respondents Declaration of the Results of the ODM Party Busia County Delegates elections held on 29th August,2025 and, further hereby restraints the respondents herein or any party or person acting on their behalf from using the list forwarded from the impugned ODM Party Busia County Delegate elections held on 29th August, 2025,”

The court further ruled: ” In the subsequent Respondents Party elections and/or other functions within the Respondent Party.’’
