LPG Regulations Take Effect as Consumers Cry Foul - Kenyan Wallstreet

A 38 year Nairobi businessman Adan Hassan has been fined Kenyan shillings 300 thousand by a Milimani law court.

This is after he pleaded guilty of refilling gas cylinders without authority before Milimani magistrate Esther Kimilu.

According to the charge sheet, it is alleged that on the 16th day of April 2021 at City Gas limited LPG storage and refilling facility situated off Lunga Lunga road off industrial area within Nairobi County.

Adan Hassan together with his accomplices who were not before the court were found to have been operating a refill asserted brand LPG cylinders without the authority from Brand owners. In his litigation through lawyer Julius Onyoka, the accused asked the court to give him lenient fine given that he is family man, and he has been attending court.
