Mizani Africa yesterday launched a report revealing that Kakamega county residents prefer their former Senator Bonny Khalwale as their Governor in the august General elections.

Our team conducted this research in three counties and will later transit to all counties before the general elections” Said CEO Mizani Haron Kiriba.
He said they had face to face interviews with residents of Kakamega, Uasin Gishu and Murang’a counties whereby the results may change in future as many aspirants were yet to announce publicly their interest in various political seats.
In Kakamega, the ardent supporter of Dp William Ruto who is the former Ikolomani Mp Bonny Khalwale took lead in popularity.
Khalwale comparatively came first at 33.4% per cent followed by Fernandez Baraza at 33.1% and Lugari Mp Ayub Savula became last at 32%.
Khalwale who has been vocal in the Western Kenya region will vie for Kakamega gubernatorial seat through the United Democratic Party ticket(UDA).
According to the research, UDA is more popular compared to former Prime Minister Raila Odinga’s Azimio la Umoja coalition.
It was also noted that Musalia Mudavadi’s Amani National Congress was less popular in Western region.
In Uasin Gishu County the most preferred candidate is Jonathan Kimeli while in Murang’a County Jamleck Kamau topped in popularity
