Former Kajiado Governor David Nkedianye skipped the crucial National Governing Council meeting convened by ODM, fueling speculations about his future in the ODM party.

Nkedianye who has previously fallen out with the top ODM leadership is seeking to recapture the seat on the lucrative ODM ticket.

However, he is facing stiff competition from Governor Joseph Ole Lenku, who has been tipped as the favourite to bag the Azimio La Umoja ticket.

It is not clear why Nkedianye skipped the Friday meeting but sources indicate that the top ODM top brass has issues with his style of politics.

Nkedianye was blamed for ODMs average performance in Kajiado as far as the 2017 elections were concerned.

Last week, a team of Kajiado professionals urged President Uhuru and ODM leader Raila Odinga to allow Lenku serve his second term and finish his development agenda
