Former Kware MCA and Deputy Speaker Ken Ngo’ndi has been cleared to contest for position of the Nairobi County Assembly speaker.
Ng’ondi presented his nomination papers to Nairobi Assembly Clerk who is the returning officer.
Addressing the media Ng’ondi is optimistic of winning the seat.
“This afternoon we came to present ourselves before the returning officer who is the clerk, I have just returned my nomination papers to vie for the speaker position and I have been cleared..they have gone through our papers in line with check list and they have affirmed to us we are good to and we don’t have any worries I have done my part in mobilizing members to vote for me and all we are waiting for is the voting day and we leave the rest to honourable members.” Ng’ondi said.
He was accompanied by Kilimani MCA Moses Ogeto, Mabatini MCA Wilfred Oluoch Odalo,Alvin Palapala of Kitisuru among others.
“We are going to win and let it be known that he will be the next speaker of Nairobi though we can not tell the public our strategy.” Ogeto said.
“He is the only who one have returned his nomination papers out of 20 applicants it show what might happen…but is very clear that he is going to win.” Odalo said.
