Nairobi Speaker Ken Ng’ondi and aclose ally to Raila Odinga has hailed the truce between President William Ruto and opposition leader Raila Odinga, saying the move has calmed down political tension in the country.

The Super Nairobi County assembly Speaker Hon Ng’ondi said the new development would pave the way for fruitful negotiations, but ruled out any arrangements for a handshake.

“We hope that this bipartisan talk will be carried out in the shortest time possible and Ruto will listen to Raila’s demands so that we can move forward as one united nation, “Ng’ondi said.

Already the two camps are forming up their team of representation in the national assembly for the bipartisan talks.
