This initiative aims to raise awareness and encourage community involvement in addressing the security challenges.

Regional Commissioner John Otieno reiterated the government’s commitment to enhancing security in Garissa. He assured residents that measures were being put in place to increase police presence and improve response times to incidents. “We are dedicated to ensuring the safety of Garissa’s residents. Our security forces are ready to act decisively against those who threaten the peace of this town,” Otieno stated.

The security committee meeting brought together various stakeholders, including local leaders, security personnel, and community representatives. Through collaborative efforts and strategic planning, the committee aims to implement effective solutions to curb the rising insecurity and restore confidence among the residents of Garissa.

As the meeting concluded, Governor Jama and Regional Commissioner Otieno called for unity and cooperation among all stakeholders to combat the insecurity menace. They urged residents to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activities to the authorities promptly.
