Taveta, Kenya, September 4, 2024 – KEPHIS Board members, led by Chairman Hon. Joseph M’Eruaki M’uthari, accompanied by Managing Director Prof. Theophilus Mutui and the management team, visited the Taveta-Holili One Stop Border Post as part of their ongoing oversight of key entry points. The visit aimed to ensure that all plant material imports and exports comply with phytosanitary standards and to manage seed certification services, crucial for safeguarding plant health and supporting Kenya’s agricultural sector.

This initiative is in line with the Bottom-Up Economic Transformation Agenda (BETA), which seeks to enhance agricultural productivity and promote safe trade, contributing to Kenya’s economic growth and development.
