KEPHIS Board and Senior Management Participate in Culture Change Management Training

Mombasa, Kenya — Kenya Plant Health Inspectorate Service (KEPHIS) held a two-day Culture Change Management Training for its Board and Senior Management on 12th and 13th September 2024 at the Serena Beach Resort. The training, led by Board Chairman Hon. Joseph M’Eruaki and Managing Director Prof. Theophilus Mutui, focused on strengthening organizational culture and was facilitated by the Institute of Certified Secretaries.

This training aligns with KEPHIS’ 2023-2027 strategic plan, which emphasizes fostering a culture that promotes teamwork, leadership, and adaptability. These qualities are critical to achieving KEPHIS’ mission of ensuring plant health, quality agricultural inputs, and contributing to national food security, safe trade, and sustainable development.

Speaking at the event, Prof. Mutui emphasized the importance of cultural change as the foundation for achieving long-term goals. “A strong organizational culture is essential for the growth and sustainability of KEPHIS. We must be adaptable and work together to achieve our mission of promoting agriculture and contributing to national development,” he said.

The training is part of KEPHIS’ ongoing efforts to enhance its leadership capacity and maintain its role as a key player in ensuring agricultural quality standards in Kenya.
