Kimani Mugo, the Member of County Assembly (MCA) for Zimmerman Ward, has reaffirmed his commitment to improving infrastructure in his area, focusing on the much-needed upgrade of Kamiti Road. In a recent statement, Mugo emphasized the importance of the road, which serves as a key route connecting Kwa Samido to Njathaini and the Northern Bypass, facilitating access to critical areas for residents.
“Today, we made significant progress by grading Kamiti Road, a crucial link for the community,” Mugo said, acknowledging the grading as a temporary measure to improve the road’s usability, particularly during the rainy season. He reassured residents that he is actively lobbying for a permanent tarmacking solution, despite financial and logistical challenges.
While the grading work has eased immediate difficulties, Mugo emphasized that a fully tarmacked road is the ultimate goal. He vowed to continue pushing for the necessary upgrades to address the long-standing issue.
Mugo expressed his gratitude to the Zimmerman community, particularly the Zimmerman Ward Residents Forum, for their patience and support. “Together, we are working towards a future where infrastructure development meets the needs of our growing community,” he said.
The MCA pledged to collaborate with authorities and stakeholders to secure lasting improvements for Zimmerman Ward, with infrastructure development a top priority in his leadership agenda.
