Cherangani constituency Legislature Honourable Joshua Kutuny who doubles up as the Jubilee party Deputy secretary General has recently gained popularity in the Northern part of the Rift Valley region.
TOPnewskenya.co.ke has learnt that,Kutuny has Outshined several politicians in the region who were very powerful after 2017 general elections before their downfall was generated due to disloyalty and lacking a political stand.
After the general elections, several politicians from Rift valley Region were awarded prestigious positions in the Nation Assembly and in the Senate due to William Ruto factor in the ruling government.
The first politician to be awarded a powerful position was the Elgeyo Marakwet county Senator Kipchumba Murkomen who was appointed as the senate house leader of minority by the Jubilee party.
Murkomen who served for barely two years began rubbing shoulders with the party Officials and he severally flopped the Jubilee government motions on the floor of the senate house. His disloyalty was short lived after the Jubilee party Officials cracked the whip and showed him the door and he was outset as the Majority leader in the Senate.
The position of being the Leader Of Majority in the Senate had awarded Murkomen a powerful position in the Kalenjin Community and he was severally spotted involving himself in the community matters and decision making. Unfortunately after his outset in the Senate as the leader of minority, Murkomen lost grip with the community and his trust went down and nowadays nobody takes him seriously.
Another politician who was awarded a prestigious and lucrative position was Soy member of Parliament Caleb Kositany. Kositany was appointed by the Jubilee party as the Deputy secretary General but his disloyalty in the party made his term to be short.
Kositany frequently went against the party’ s constitution and went ahead of forming another party called United Democratic Alliance party something which was against Jubilee party constitution.
Joshua Kutuny has remained loyal to the Jubilee party and he has been defending his community in the government a move which has gained him popularity in the Rift valley Region and in the government.
Recently, Kutuny was awarded a powerful position in Jubilee party and he is the only serving legislature from Kalenjin Community who is active in Politics and in the community matters.
His political future is now promising in the region,if anything is to go by his popularity.
