Mps allied to Dp Rutos UDA outside parliament led by Garisa Women Rep Anab Gure few minutes before swearing in of Kiamba Mp John Njuguna.

The female legislators arrived clad in yellow dresses and black tops while their male counterparts put on yellow ties, black suits and white shirts.

“Today our colour is yellow ,since its abig day for our party UDA as we are swearing in our first elect Mp,so we are in solidarity with him,”Gure stated.

Mr Njuguna won the Kiambaa seat after beating Jubilee’s Kariri Njama ,by garnering 21,773 votes against 21,263.

It was UDA’s first major victory against Jubilee which has disintegrated following the fallout between President Uhuru and his Deputy William Ruto.

Mp Gure told Topnews.co.ke that they are happy with the rate at which UDA is gaining momentum countrywide ahead of 2022 polls, further called on Jubilee candidate to withdraw their petition and support the new MP.

” It is a waste of time and the best thing for them is to withdraw that petition in court,we won fairly,”Gure said

The mini poll was dominated by claims of voter bribery, fraud and intimidation in a contest that was viewed by many as a supremacy battle between President Uhuru Kenyatta and his deputy, William Ruto.
