Westlands MP Tim Wanyonyi is believed to have held a secret meeting with key officials of the Kenya Kwanza Alliance as part of his latest attempts to win the Azimio La Umoja ticket for Nairobi.

According to our sources, the meeting held at the home of a prominent Ford Kenya party leader on Wednesday 2nd February night, is geared towards threatening ODM party leader against giving the Azimio La Umoja ticket to Mount Kenya candidate in Nairobi.

“Our boss held a meeting Wednesday this week in Nairobi, and one of the Co principals of Kenya Kwanza was present, so he is doing everything possible to force ODM into giving him the Azimio ticket,”The ally said.

“His plan is to use Kenya Kwanza leaders to pile pressure on Odinga by using the Luhya voting block as a bait,”He added.

The move has however been interpreted in some quarters as a blackmail mission which has not been received well by ODM top brass.

Also in the meeting as per our sources was a UDA party official and a renegade Jubilee party member.

Some observers say that Wanyonyi is slowly sliding towards the Kenya Kwanza Alliance due to the fast riising popularity of his opponent Richard Ngatia who is odds favourite for the Azimio ticket.

Reports indicate that Wanyonyi, who has been told to defend his Westlands seat has resorted to tribal politics where he is desperately trying to incite the Luhya community against Mr. Odingas votes in Nairobi County.
