Mp Wario endorsed for Tana River County Top Seat during the launch of National Peace consortium

Bura Mp Ali Wario has today been endorsed by the National Peace Consortium to contest for Tana River gubernatorial seat.

According to the Consortium chairperson Hassan Kinywa, Ali Wario is the most hardworking political leader in Tana River with vast number of development records.

“We are endorsing individuals and not parties. Hon Wario, with the blessings of these leaders we are sending you to vie for Tana River governorship in the coming elections. The work you have done in the past fifteen years as Bura MP implement the same in the whole county,” said Dr. Kinywa.

Speaking during the launch of National Peace Consortium, Hon. Wario pledged to fear God in his tenure if elected.

Wario possesses impeccable passion for public service, devotion not only for the people of Tana River, but this nation as a whole.

“I want to encourage all the members of this initiative including the interfaith team for this noble initiative that will champion for national peace as we head to the August general elections. It’s honorable to see the Muslim, Hindus and Christians coming together to mobilize for national cohesion and peaceful coexistence,” said Hon. Wario.

At the same time, Wario was appointed the chairperson for the consortium to run the office for four years.

The lobby vowed to be conspicuous in peace meetings nationally, feeding the hungry, advocating for gender sensitivity and equity, youth empowerment programs, fighting poverty, ignorance and disease, as well as engaging in civic education towards addressing these challenges.

“We will shun away from negative politics threatening peace. We will make all efforts towards peace, especially, during this electioneering period. These will include economic recovery strategies for vulnerable youth and women who were greatly affected by COVID 19 pandemic, Gender Based Violence, as well as, children protection and welfare,” said Kinywa.
