Makongeni MCA Among 50 ODM Leaders to be Given Direct Ticket

Minority Chief Whip Nairobi County Assembly who doubles up as Makongeni MCA Peter Anyule Imwatok is now the leading the list of leaders to be issued with direct tickets this is after Orange Democratic Movement party resolved to do so to its key allies that have been pushing the party agenda.
Imwatok has been instrumental and a big asset of ODM when it comes to Nairobi politics.
As minority whip he led the opposition MCAs in a successful impeachment of then Nairobi governor Mike Mbuvi Sonko.
Imwatok further championed Raila Amollo Odingas’ interest in the assembly by protecting ODM ideologies.
He sponsored a motion that granted Raila Odinga a road.
Other Nairobi MCAs expected to bag direct tickets are Kware ward MCA Rose Ogonda Kulla, Winfred Odallo of Mabatini ward, Moses Ogeto kilimani in Kilimani ward and Cecilia May Ayot in Laini Saba ward.
