Bungoma politician Kelly Walubengo petition against Dan Wanyama to be heard virtually

Bungoma Court has granted permission to petitioners in an election dispute to prosecute its case virtually.

Judge William Musyoka was told today by Kelly Walubengo’s lawyer Brian Omeri that his security is under threat .

Mr Omeri is representing the petitioner in an election petition pitting Dan Wanyama ,MP for Webuye West.

Judge Musyoka however adjourned the matter to to 18th of this month due to poor digital system used on virtual proceedings.

He said the system will be beefed up to allow smooth running of future procedings.
Henry Makhakara is representing the Dan Wanyama the respondent.

Petitioner’s witnesses will also testify through virtual technology.
Kelly Walubemgo’s lawyer told the court that his life has been under threat since taking up the matter .

He said he has reported the matter to police for further actions .
