Led by vocal Korogocho ward Mca Absalom Odhiambo, the leaders have asked governor Johnson Sakaja to only allow licenced Matatu saccos operate from Cbd and those that have not complied should be barred with immediate effect.

“We want to ask Our Governor kindly remove those Matatu saccos that are not licenced from Cbd,we want order and sanity,”Mca Matach said.

Mca Matach who is also a member of Transport Committee said currently the Cbd is congested with unruly Matatus that some are not obeying traffic city bylaws.

Initial plans to decongest the Central Business District by prohibiting matatus in the city centre have not yielded much with the previous administration.
