An activist in Nairobi has moved to court seeking the removal of Kung’u Ndung’u Director General,Kenya National Highways authority,KENHA over corruption at roads agency.
In a petition filed at Milimani high Court, activist Francis Awino wants Mr Ndung’u Kicked out of office and aprobe commenced over financial mismanagement and incompetence at the agency that has led to loss of public funds.
“The responded has failed in his line of duty, removal from office is therefore the constitutions final answer ,asafety valve to a state officer or public servant who mistakes himself for amonarch ,as they say,power corrupts,and the framers of the constitution being congnizant of this fact,”the activist says.
The petitioner also wants the anti graft body to commence an investigation against the officer as his the mastermind of corruption web cartel at KENHA.
The activist also in his petition,wants through the court,the appointing authority to declare the position of DG at KENHA vacant and conduct fresh interviews and appoint new Director General at the agency.
