In a heartfelt plea to the nation and the world, former Bungoma High School President and aspirant for Kanduyi Constituency Member of Parliament, Hon Kwesis Kinaibei Stephen, has issued a poignant call to action: stop femicide.
In his impassioned message, Hon Kwesis urges society to halt the senseless killing of women and girls, a scourge that continues to plague not only Kenya but also the global community. Drawing on his research, he highlights the alarming trend where countless lives are lost due to factors such as love, money, and power.
Addressing his fellow countrymen, Hon Kwesis implores them not to resort to violence to resolve conflicts that can be peacefully resolved. He emphasizes the longstanding dependency of women on men throughout history, noting the pride men feel in providing for their female counterparts. However, he stresses that this should not be misconstrued as a justification for violence.
“These girls are our sisters, cousins, mothers, girlfriends, wives, and companions,” Hon Kwesis reminds us. “We cannot exist without them.”
